Grade 9/10 Art Advanced class

The Grade 9/10 Advanced class is working on the biggest project of the school year. They are creating expressive, extreme close up self-portraits. To add an element of interest these artists are using modeling paste to create a textured surface before they apply the paint. With only a large yard brush and their fingers as tools, these expressive paintings will demand these young artists loosen up with their approach to their painting techniques where broad, strong brush strokes are required. These awesome paintings will be on display at our annual arts extravaganza "For the Love of the Arts" on April 10th, so plan to come out and visit the art exhibit!
