Poetry Contest winners!

Congratulations to Cassidy S. and Isabella S. for their recent achievements in Manitoba's Pandora poetry competition! Isabella won third place in the Grade 9 grouping for her poem "Relationships" and Cassidy won first place in Grade 9 for her poem "Waves on Jagged Times." Cassidy and Isabella are talented young poets and their writing  stood out for being honest, artistic, and simplistically complex. We can't wait to see what their future has in store for them!

Visual Arts Field Trip

The Visual Arts students enjoyed beautiful weather for their field trip to the Forks last week on Thursday. Taking advantage of the Forks grounds and buildings, the students completed a number of observational sketches and took many photographs. The Forks is an excellent venue for a variety of outside atmospheres and views, with the buildings providing new and varied textures, colours, and perspectives...not to mention the interesting and eclectic people and animals who visit the site each day!
